Scheduling Stress: You're In Control

Studies of stress and burnout in medical professionals show that “The most consistent predictor of stress is our perception of a lack of control over our schedules” ,according to Edward T. Creagan, MD, moderator of the Mayo Clinic Stress Blog and professor at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine.

The key word is "perception". The more you include things you "should" do and continue to roll over undone tasks without taking the time to analyze how necessary the task really is, the more you let go of control over your schedule.
