In a lighter moment at the trial of Lewis "Scooter" Libby, Vice President Cheney's former chief of staff, witness Judith Miller was quizzed on not remembering her first meeting with Libby until she discovered a shopping bag of old notes under her desk. "Is that how you usually archive your files?" the judge asked, at the request of jurors. Ouch!
Kind of puts a new spin on my grandmother's old adage to always wear clean underwear in case you're in an accident. Now you also need to clear out all the piles under your desk in case you're served as a witness in a court case.
